Watermelon

The watermelon (Citrullus lanatus) is a fruit native to Africa, more than 90% water. It is very hydrating, diuretic and rich in lycopene, the antioxidant that gives it its red colour, and in vitamin C.

It needs full sun, warmth and loose, well-drained soil. Harvest comes 80 to 100 days after transplanting.
