Vine tomato

The vine tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) is harvested and sold on the whole truss, which keeps its aroma and extends shelf life after picking. It is rich in lycopene, vitamin C and water.

It is grown in greenhouses, trained vertically, and picked when every fruit on the truss has an even colour.
